PEOPLE VS POWER

  • According to the theory of the people vs power, during most of the 20th Century, gaps in income between the rich and poor gradually shrank, then came the Information Age.
  • In this age the rich began to grow spectacularly richer, while the poor became poorer, and wages for the middle class remained neutral at best.

PEOPLE VS POWER

  • When asked if they believed the country was divided between the haves and have nots, the middle class decisively said yes
  • This was because they could buy more with less money.
  • Overall, the economy is not their god, but community is their priority.
