US Constitution
Define: a written guideline that has the rules of government and a list of our protection rights.
Facts: the 3 constitution are Article, Preamble, and Amendments.

Limited Government
Define: a government that was stable and could lead the people but didn't have too much power.
Fact: can't search you without evidence.

Federalism
Define: divided by the system government. It has a federal and state government.

Independent Judiciary
Define: the US has a system of judges and courts that is separate from that other branches.
Facts: other branches cannot pressure or bribe the Supreme Court.

Popular Sovereignty
Define: the people have the power, and elect their leader.
Facts: voting with majority

Rule of Law
Define: the law applies to all people, no matter if you are rich or poor, the president or a regular person, etc.
Facts: law must be applies in the same way to all

Separation of power/checks and balances
Define: farmers of the constitution doesn't want one branch of government or one to become powerful.
Facts: a check other's major decision like the president has the power to vote.

Individual Right
Define: the constitution was written some people did not want to pass it because it did not include rights for individual people.
