4-6 YEAR OLDS

FINE MOTOR SKILLS

  • Begin writings letters
  • Write their name
  • Make shapes with clay
  • Brush teeth and hair

GROSS MOTOR SKILLS

  • Kick a ball
  • Hop
  • Balance of one leg
  • Dance to a beat or rhythm

THUMBSUCKING

  • Use a distracting object
  • Putting a solution on fingers
  • Praise child when they aren't sucking their thumb
  • Be patient and comforting

NUTRITION

  • Should be eating same foods as rest of family
  • Limit the junk food
  • 1,500-1,750 calories
  • Decrease snack size and increase meal size
