PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE ADVANCE OF THE GOSPEL

Philippians 1:15-17

It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.

Summary
People preach the gospel for different reasons. Some preach because they are strong in faith. They want to bring God into other people's lives. Others, however, preach out of selfishness. They only want to bring attention to themselves. They are not true preachers.

Personal Reflection
This passage reminds us that it is our responsibility to bring God into other people's lives. In addition, we are to do this out of love, not self gain. Another way to bring God into other people's lives by attending mass. By doing this, we lead by example. However, it is not enough to just attend mass; we have to listen to the gospel passage.

Conclusion
In conclusion, we are obligated to spread the Good News of Christ not for ourselves, but to bring God into the lives of others. During the Lenten season, we should strive to follow God's will and grow as a person.
