ANIMALS OF WW1

  • During WW1 animals were served very important tasks such as transportation, sending messages, and carrying important things like food, water, and medical supplies.

ANIMALS OF WW1

  • Some animals used in WW1 were dogs, horses, camels, pigeons, and donkeys.
  • Some types of dogs used are Border Collies, Lurchers, English Sheepdogs, Retrievers and Mongrels.

WOMAN’S ROLES

  • Many women volunteered as nurses, teachers, and workers in jobs that were normally for males. Large numbers were hired in the munitions industries during WW1.

WOMAN’S ROLES

  • Even with the rights they had at the time, the government still needed people to take the jobs that men had to leave behind to join the war, so they were allowed to work in jobs meant for men such as factory work, teaching, and a lot more.

WEAPONS/TECH

  • During WW1 some weapons used were rifles, tanks, machine guns, mortars, flamethrowers, poison gas, and aircraft (planes) were used.

  • The damage/impact that was caused during the war was an estimated 100,000 to 260,000 deaths, which is a lot.
