PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Hinduism began in Southeast Asia which spread outward into Central Asia. In this time period people typically became Hindus or Buddhist which was very commonly practiced in this region.

Hinduism is a religion with many gods, not just one. It is different than all other religions because it wasn't created by one person. The goal of the religion is to reach complete bliss or union with Brahmen. To do that people need to free themselves from selfish desires. Moksha is the "bliss" one try's to achieve during their lifetime, however rarely to people achieve this so they keep living after death until they achieve complete union with Brahmem.

About 4000 years ago God spoke to Abraham that his descendants and children would be apart of the promised land under the kingdom of one God. Abraham used gods word to begin the spread the idea of a single god where as most worshiped many. In this time the Roman Empire controlled most the Middle East so spreading new religions was very difficult.

Judaism is a religion that began when God told Abraham the idea of his holy nature. The Torah is the most important text which contains the 10 commandments which is a guide for their life. It spread from Jerusalem outward. Moses, Soloman, and Abraham are important prophets of God who helped spread the religion.

Buddhism is a religion that believes in one figure, known as Buddha. Budahh traveled from India outward into the Middle East to promote his way of life. He sat under a tree after once being a prime to try me gain complete tranquility. He eventually reached this enlightened point and founded his four noble truths. Buddhism was then created and was founded based on creating the way of life similar to Hinduism. By following this religion ones goal is to do good throughout life to prevent suffering and allow one to live forever after death. Meditation began to spread throughout the region and because very popular in the Middle East.

Islam shares some similar beliefs as Christianity and Judaism, with the belief in one God (Allah). What separates them is the belief that a young merchant became a prophet of God. Known as Muhammad. According to the faith he was talked to by the Angel Gabriel by God and that everyone should devote their life to God only.

This religion also believes that doing good deeds will get you closer with God and this religion also relies on the 5 pillars of Islam. Mecca is the holy city that Abraham was spoke to by God and is the holiest city connected with this religion. It began to spread outward from Saudi Aribia when Muhammed was born.
Christianity began when Jesus was born in Nazareth. He was born into a Jewish family and his mother Mary was told by God her son would be the Messiah. To free people from slavery,sin, and death. Jesus was turned down by thousands and eventually found his desciples who helped spread the word of God in the Roman Empire. They were often persecuted and many died.

Christiany is the belief in one God. That believing in him will grant eternal life. They use the bibles stories to describe the past events and follow the 10 commandments as a way of life.
