THE VELOCIRAPTOR

FACTS

• The velciraptor is a smart dinosaur of the Dromaeosaurid Theropods
• They lived 71-75 million years ago dorung the Cretaceous period
• As of right now there are two known species of veolciraptors
• One is the Mongoliensis Velociraptor.
• The other is the Osmolskee Velciraptor, it was named after it's skull material from Inner Mongolia, China

• The velociraptor was smaller than other Dromaeosaurids, like the Deinonychus and the Achillobator
• The Velociraptor shared many of the same anatomical (body structure) features, they were feathered, walked on two legs, and were carnivores
• It also had a long tail and a bigger sickle-like claw on each foot, which was probably used for tackling prey
• The velociraptor can be different from other Dromaeosaurids because of it's long and low skull and it's upturned snout
• Velociraptors were small compared to other dinosaurs, but they were tuff

• Velociraptors had a big manus (hand) with three strong claws
• The velociraptors were good in fights against other dinosaurs
