ALAMOSAURUS
Named after a trading post in New Mexico where its fossil was first found.
Had peg-shaped teeth that were not good for chewing.
In order to eat, plant food was swallowed whole and later broken down in the stomach.
Length: 70 feet Weight: 30 tons

TOROSAURUS
Name means "bull lizard" because of the large cattle-like horns over its eyes.
Torosaurus had the largest head of any known land animal.
A neck frill protected its neck and shoulders.
Length: 24 feet Weight: 9 tons

TYRANNOSAURUS
Name means "tyrant lizard."
Its 6-inch high steak-knife teeth were its main weapon.
Tyrannosaurus rex is the most famous of the Tyrannosaurus species.
Length: 39 feet Weight: 6.5 tons
