  • He was an Austrian monk.
  • As a monk he studies mathematics and science.
  • His interest came when he was a little boy, in his father's orchard
  • He would predict the possible types of flowers and crossbreeds
  • He is known as the father of genetics

  • Died:January 6, 1884
  • Was taught by Christian Doppler

He often used garden peas in many of his expirements.

HIS DEATH

  • He was laid to rest in the monastery’s burial plot and his funeral was well attended
  • He died of kidney inflammation

  • It can affect our health & our risk of illness
  • It helps in diagnosing & treating genetic diseases, diabetes, & haemophilia
  • In the future, doctors and scientist hope to use our genetic information to diagnose, treat , prevent & cure many illnesses
