Early Years

  • Her parents died when she was 7.
  • She went on to live with her older sister
  • She got married at 14 to Moses McWilliams
  • He died when their daughter A'Lelia was just two years old.

Facts

  • After her first husband died she then remarried to Charles J. Walker.
  • Some of her products were Wonderful Hair Grower, Vegetable Shampoo, Scalp Ointment, and Vanishing Cream.
  • Her real name is Sarah Breedlove.
  • She used her money for a good cause.

She opened up her own factory called MCWMC
