Did you know that the government is spying on you through your phone? According to a 2006 Fox News report, the government can remotely turn on your camera and microphone when your phone is off.
Another shocking thing that you might not have known is that Microsoft has had a long worked "hand-in-hand" with the NSA and FBI in exchange that they don't block the the government’s ability to spy on users of Skype, Outlook, Hotmail and other Microsoft services.
According to a 2004 Washington Monthy report, The government is now flying drones over the American homeland to spy on us. In fact, the head of the FBI told Congress that drones are used for domestic surveillance, and that there are no rules in place governing spying on Americans with drones.
A 2013 New York Times report even suggests that the Law Enforcement is now asking certain U.S. Postal services to give them copies of all mail before going out on the streets. According to the author (Ron Nixon) up to 160 billions pieces of mail were tacked in the year 2013 alone
Although the government has made programs to keep us safe such as the NSA. The excessive amount of surveillance since 9/11 has become unessasary, and costly to the American people as it has in many cases, wasted U.S. Tax dollars. The amount of government surveillance may even make some people judge the fact if we are even living in a "free" country anymore.
