Mr. Bob Ewell accused a supposedly innocent man, by the name of Tom Robinson of raping his daughter, Mayella Ewell.
Yet, Tom Robinson's lawyer, Atticus accused Mr. Ewell of beating his daughter.

Continuing, this process of finding the guilty individual took many long hours.
Finally, once the jury made a decision on who was guilty, surprisingly they decided it was Tom Robinson. Even though Atticus provided the jury with plenty of evidence that Tom Robinson was innocent. Atticus Finch also made a very strong point that even though Tom Robinson was an African American, that shouldn't give him a disadvantage. Concluding, Atticus wanted to prove to the jury that no matter your skin color, everyone should be equal; especially in court.

Yet, later on throughout the story, Mr. Heck Tate went to go aid Atticus Finch because a man tried hurting both of Atticus' children (Jem and Scout). It was a very dramatic scene as Jem became knocked out throughout the process of trying to fight the man who was trying to hurt, capture, or maybe even murder Jem and Scout.

Continuing. Mr. Heck Tate, confirmed with Atticus Finch that Mr. Ewell was found dead by a tree. Mr. Atticus jumped to conclusions and began thinking it was Jem who killed him. Yet, Mr. Heck Tate provided him with evidence that Bob Ewell fell on his knife while trying to capture Jem and Scout.

Thus far, discovering that Boo Radley killed Bob Ewell, both Mr. Heck Tate and Atticus decided they did not want to put Boo into Jeopardy. They gave the example that, it would be as if it were to kill a Mockingbird, because Boo Radley did nothing wrong but look over children.

Concluding, it was very significant that Bob Ewell died, not only because he may have been beating his daughter, but also because he was very disrespectful towards many people. It was also very ironic because while trying to harm the Finch family, he also led himself into danger. Bob Ewell led himself into danger because he was also drunk while he was after Jem and Scout Finch.
