TEOTIHUACAN

  • Today, I will be telling you about Teotihuacan an ancient Mexican ruins.
  • It is an enormous archaeological site in Basin of Mexico.
  • Contains some of the largest pyramidal structures built in
  • the per-Columbian American.
  • Teotihuacan was an religious,ritual, and ceremonial place.

  • Known as “The City of the Gods" or "the place where the gods were created.
  • The Moon and Sun are the two largest pyramids in Teotihuacan.
  • There is also a temple called the Feathered Serpent.
  • Well known for its colorful morals painted in plastered walls.
  • Origins and purpose are uncertain.

  • In 500AD population was estimated around 125,000-200,000 people.
  • Making it, at that time the largest city in the world.
  • During the mid-seven century some parts of Teotihuacan
  • were repeatedly burned.
