UPCYCLE CHALLENGE

THE CHALLENGE

• Over the next two weeks, In groups of three you will work together to develop an upcycled product.
• This is taking an old product and using it to make a better and new product.
• You will work as a group to create a variety of resources for a "product fair".

PRODUCT FAIR

• In the last week of thematic you will have a product fair in your class.
• You will set up your own stall to show your design ideas, product information and possibly models of your product!
• Other teams can choose to invest in your company with "money", the teams with the biggest investment wins!!

HOW WILL YOU BE ASSESSED?

• You must work through the upcycle booklet over the next two weeks.
• You must complete each task, working through the design process to research, design and plan your product
• You will be getting assessed on this booklet. It is important every section is complete!
• Make sure you use your best design skills!

FIRST TASK

• You must now get into your groups of three
• Discuss any ideas you may have and record on post it/scrap paper
• You have 10 mins

BEGIN THE BOOKLET!

• Now you have shared ideas you must now work through the booklet.
• Follow and complete each stage if the design process, this will help you develop a better product.

EXTENSION: PREPARING FOR YOUR STALL

• If you have completed all of your booklet you can begin preparing items for your stall.
• Things you can make include....
• Posters, final design drawings, leaflets, iPad advertisements, models, CAD drawings.
