Classical Flamenco is the more modern version of dance. It has been very influenced by ballet, which has changed some of the techniques.

The modern flamenco dress was influenced by the calico dresses with ruffles worn by the Romani women at the seville fair.

The men's costume generally consists of a simple shirt, pants, and sometimes a jacket.

While the dancers are the most well known, the singers and instrumentalists are the reason that flamenco exists. The dancers follow the music; the music does not follow the dancer.
