PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Research has shown, a conventional Digi pack of a pop artist would usually appear a photograph of the artist themselves, being the main focus as well as selling point and brand identity.
eg.
Having the artist central is ideal, as the audience can focus on the synergy, after all its to promote the artist . Our group had chosen the henna tattoo to be the key element, which is placed under the eye of the artist. By having a close up of the artist on the front cover, would easily capture and recognize the synergy.
A picture of the artist captured whilst shooting the music video, this picture does capture the synergy, however I would prefer an extreme close up of her face for the front cover. As the background is colourful, I was thinking to incoorperate this into the rest of the panels.
However I did have an alternative layout for the front cover. I looked at several different artists, for instance Taylor swift, she just included her body with her head cut off. I was thinking an extreme close up of the artist eyes, which could be in cartoon effect although its fun and quirky like the artist characteristic. This is a different idea to the conventional pop artist Digi pack as they preferably include an image of the artist fully visible.
I particularly like Taylor Swifts album 1989. She included Polaroid shots of her. This created a sense of rapport with the audience. As well as including a personal touch. Some how I would like to in cooperate this when creating my Digi pack. By including pictures during the making of the video, for instance the green screen room, where we used different colour filters.
The CD has to flow and add to the continuity of the Digi pack. Therefore I was thinking to have pair of eyes across the CD or a close up of her face showing the tattoo and by the end result to the back cover of the Digi pack the artist face is revealed, so slowly the artist is uncovered.
Another inspiration from Taylor's Digi pack was the idea of using the handwriting font, it added a personal touch. I also liked the picture she used, once again her face slightly cut off, but the audience will be able to recognise her as she is a popular artist.
