  • Dimension stone- cut to use for counter tops, building facades, and grave stones
  • Granite & Gabbro- mined for dimension stone & construction aggregates in various locations within the state

Some impacts on the environment is that when it rains, sulfuric acid leaks out metals and chemicals from the waste and creates acid mine damage which can contaminate lakes, rivers, and groundwater. It can affect human health, fish, wildlife, and damages entire ecosystems.
