Why colonize to Mars is considered feasible for humans to live in the future? (Scientific)

Summary: This source about my essential question is talking about 5 undeniable reasons that it is possible and feasible for humans to live on the Mars.
The first one reason is we’re ensuring the survival of our species. The only home for us is the earth, it is a very large amount of humans to live to on the earth. Putting humans on more than one planet would better ensure our existence thousands if not millions of years from now.
The second reason is talking about we had already discovered life on Mars, even though scientists are still unsure about it but we can sure that it is possible for human to live there too.
The third reason is we are improving our quality of life on Earth, it’s very reasonable for human to move to Mars in the future. Because the high technology these days we are using is very technical.
Growing as a species is the other reason, that the population of human is getting huge.
The last reason is demonstrating political and economic leadership. Lots of rich people can have this opportunity to go there.
But by the way, the source also talk about it will cost a lot of money for humans to go there, but it is worth to do that. “Of course, it's extremely difficult to foresee how manned missions to Mars that would cost hundreds of billions of dollars each, could benefit mankind.” “We're focused on what's happening tomorrow instead of 100 years from now.”

According to my novel, I think it will be a chance for humans to across planet to planet because our world and technology, but the point is, this chance is not a option, it is a task that human must to defend and cover.
