NATIVE AMERICANS
Lived off the land for buffalo and maize.
They also wanted the land to stay how it was uninterrupted by white settlers.

RANCHERS
According to the text I read the ranchers wanted to and did sometimes drive Indians out.
They fenced in grass land.
Used grass land for pasture for cattle.

Lived in sod houses like the one from the museum.
They filled up e land that the native Americans lived on that they didn't want tore up.
They tilled up the land for planting crops.

TODAY
Nearly all plains land developed into sprouting farms and ranches.
Few preserves remain for native prairie.
Native Americans now live on reservations, not a lot of them are out doing things in the new world.
