WHAT IS GONORRHEA?

• Gonorrhea is a venereal disease involving inflammatory discharge from your private parts.
• How it's spread
• Having sex with someone who has gonorrhea

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE SYMPTOMS OF GONORRHEA?

• For women:
• Increased discharge
• Painful sensation when using the bathroom
• Bleeding between periods

SYMPTOMS FOR MEN:

• A burning sensation when using the restroom
• White, yellow, or green discharge
• Swollen private parts

HOW WILL MY DOCTOR KNOW IF I HAVE GONORRHEA?

• Urine testing
• Swab from throat, or private parts

CAN GONORRHEA BE CURED?

• It can be cured with the right treatment
• You have to take all of the antibiotics your doctor prescribes
• Antibiotics will stop the infection, but it will not undo any permanent damage

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT DOSENT GET TREATED?

• In women:
• Pelvic inflammatory disease
• Infertility
• Increased abortion
• Risk of AIDS

IN MEN:

• Infertility
• Scarring
• AIDS
