CHANGE CONTINUES

How do you adjust to changes you have no control over?

HOW DO YOU ADJUST TO CHANGES YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER?

  • Teenage A: Just had to move on. Get very upset over it for days and try to even start a riot hahaha. Now A: Asking myself if there is anything I didn’t do right in the past that resulted this change. If the ans is yes, how do I become better. If not, what can I do now? Much mature now and tell myself this situation will soon pass.
  • B: I don’t do very well with changes, both now and when in secondary school. Quite resistant. I may follow it externally but it takes a while for me to accept it internally. However the most important thing is for me to understand the rationale behind why the change is needed. If I do not agree with the rationale, I will not be happy with the change and will resist it all the way (MAYBE HAHAHA, resist as much as I dare la. In secondary school, I quite “胆小”)

If your friends had a “this is how we do it” attitude to learning something new,
how would you try to convince them to follow a different, more effective method of working?

If your friends had a “this is how we do it” attitude to learning something new, how would you try to convince them to follow a different, more effective method of working?

  • Bring up questions about the flaws of it and see what they have to say. If i cannot convince them, i will just do it (perhaps not my best effort) even if i do not agree.
  • Last time Won’t convince them. Just follow. Lack of confidence. They already have the “I know how” I will follow. But now Tricky! Haha! Will be more forth coming and share what I think and how I feel. Especially if I feel more strongly my idea will work, I will take a bigger step to push it even more. But if not, I will try to balance out. I will however try to fix it if things doesn’t go right hehe.
  • Last time I a sheep. Just follow only. Too scared to say anything. Now depends - if I am new to the group I would maybe ask questions n try to understand why it's done the way they do it & try to suggest.

Describe a time you were assigned new tasks (e.g. due to a new role)
How did you adapt?

Describe a time you were assigned new tasks (e.g. due to a new role) How did you adapt?

  • When I was assigned any leadership role in secondary school, I will happily do it and do my best to achieve the expectations.
  • Quite blur. In school, just follow as instructed.
  • Currently I will ask more questions and will figure out some ways to make it better. Google is quite a good friend of mine.

You have been working on a school project for a while, when your teacher informs you that the project’s requirements changed suddenly.
What would you do?

You have been working on a school project for a while, when your teacher informs you that the project’s requirements changed suddenly. What would you do?

  • WWAAAAAAA I WILL BE SO UPSET!!!!!!! can't deal during school days. But I won't say anything. Passive aggressive much.
  • WAIL and ask the teacher why Why why why? Now how ? Can give us more time? If not how how how? Now is just ask for more money for the changes.
  • back in secondary school, I would follow and accept the change but I will be very sian to do the project
  • Ask the teacher why is it changed suddenly and any possibility of sticking to the original.

Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult projectmate /classmate.
What did you do to communicate properly?

Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult projectmate /classmate. What did you do to communicate properly?

  • I’m usually with the people who are deemed “difficult” to be with. I would listen and try to understand and empathize with them. Thereafter, try to work out a concession and work out a way that they can reintegrate back with the group.
  • Just need be patient. Make friend with the person, try to make the person feels comfy. If really cannot make it, just do her share get it over and done with and move on. If is my work, that’s the end of our project *kick u out*. hahahaha :P
  • Now is just Distribute and ensure clear tasks are assigned across all teammates. If he or she is still difficult then perhaps just leave him or her alone.
  • I don't.

How would you react if your leader encouraged competition between team members instead of collaboration?

What would you do if your team members disagreed with your instructions?

Tell me about a time you were assigned multiple tasks with the same deadline - how did you manage it?

The tell me about a time you saw someone doing wrong, and the reasons why you did or did not report them to your leaders.

Tell me a time when you felt uncomfortable over what your friends were doing (that wasn't right),
But you went along with them anyway.
