He married in 1949 - when he was just 18 years old

In 1965, Jones said, that the Bible is false and he is the true God's prophet

Dr Carlton Goodlett, his good friend and physician, examined Jones and found that he had a high fever and told Jones to have an undergo treatment in Georgetown.

People, who were in the Temple, were working on fields for long days and were punished if they questioned Jones's authority. It was worthier than in prison: their passports were taken from them, the letters home were censored (own letters) and they were forced to work long time, attend late meetings...

Because of the drugs, Jones was convinced and he convinced his people, that US government wanted to destroy them, which led to the mass suicide. Jones told his people to commit suicide in the middle of the night.

Many of his followers used poison while others maid suicide with the gun.

The massive Suicide happened in Johnstown can be called by two names - “Jonestown suicides” and as the “Jonestown massacre.”

In 1978, 909 people died in Johnstown (304 of them were children) From cyanide poisoning
