The article Gender-Differentiated Parenting Revisited: Meta-Analysis Reveals Very Few Differences in Parental Control of Boys and Girls .This article argues that there is a Biosocial theory which is gender differences in social behavior arise from societies’ division in gender roles especially towards women because they are seen as housewives and stay at home moms and men are seen as money makers. There is a huge difference with how parents treat their sons and daughters. With girls they are kind, empathic, close and with boys they are power, assertive, and dominate.

Parents are more worried about Girls than Boys because they see girls as weak and fragile. Which Parents should never underestimate their despite their gender. There are times where the daughters are more stronger then the sons. It’s not the best to have bias towards genders when parenting. Parents should raise their kids to be Independent on their own and raise equally and not to pamper one and let the other roam free.

Conclusion relation to the movie: In the movie Moana the dad is strict on letting moana cross the sea because he dosen’t trust her to go by herself. What if she wasn’t a girl what if her name was Mathan would he still let her go because during their time they see males as more superior and fit to rule. Not just in this movie does this occur but in present time.
