using a times table

• Find the first number on the left hand side
• Next find the other number on the top line
• Move your fingers in a straight line until the meet in the same square
• The square you end on is the answer to the equation

Arrays vocabulary

• Array - Is a set of objects arranged in rows and columns
• Rows - are the objects in a vertical line
• Columns - are the objects in a horizontail line

Using an array

• Have the first number represent the rows, for example 2x4 would have 2 rows
• The second number will represent the columns, using 2x4 we would have 4 columns
• Counting the rows and columns will give you the answer
