Who is Martin Luther King Jr.?
Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement called Birmingham Campaign.
What is the Birmingham campaign?
The Birmingham campaign was organized in 1963 by southern Christians
Who are the people taking these risks?
Race and nationality because the black Americans are still Americans and they don't want to be treated in lower class standards.
For example: they wanted to go as the Same school bus and school instead of being segregated.
What type of progress are they trying to achieve by taking these risks?
The are trying to have equality because they feel like they are treated horrible. They want to do the same things as the higher class people in America so they decided to act up and fight for there rights.
What risks are the people taking?
Dr.King is taking many risks like arrest,humiliation and injury.
The risk of arrest is that he knows that he is doing something bad so he is taking a risk to go to jail.
How did the segregation stop?
One of the reasons it stopped because Dr.King put pressure on the American government to change the law. One example he did was the letter from Birmingham jail.
