PINEAPPLE & BRUSSELS SPROUTS

PREPARATION: PINEAPPLE

  • Cut leaves and base off using a sharp knife.
  • Rest the pineapple on its base and using a fruit
  • knife, slice the peel in a downwards sawing motion
  • to remove it, working your way round the whole fruit.
  • Remove any 'eyes' by cutting a small 'v' shaped +

PREPARATION: PINEAPPLE

  • + grooves diagonally down either side of the
  • eyes, again working all the way around the fruit.
  • Cut into thin rounds, or cut lengthways into quarters,
  • remove the woody core and then into chunks.

HOW WOULD YOU EAT IT?

  • raw
  • cooked
  • grilled

NUTRITION: PINEAPPLE

  • It's very high in vitamin C & A, finer, potassium,
  • and calcium.
  • It contributes to our healh by strong bones,
  • healthy gums, heart health, digestion & acne.

PREPARATION: BRUSSELS SPROUTS

  • Cut them into small pieces like in quarters
  • or chopping them into smaller pieces and
  • then letting them sit for 5 minutes beofre cooking.

  • steam them
