WHEN WAS IDA B. WELLS BORN AND WHEN DID SHE DIE?

  • She was born July 16, 1864 in Holly Springs, Mississippi
  • She died March 25, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois
  • When she died she was 68 years old

WHERE DID IDA GO TO SCHOOL?

  • Freedman's school
  • Rust College
  • Frisk University

WHO WERE IDA'S PARENTS AND FAMILY?

  • Her father's name is James Wells
  • Her mother's name is Izzy Bell Wells-Barnett
  • But both of them and one of Ida's siblings died of yellow fever
  • Her husband's name was Ferdinand L. Barnett

WHEN DID IDA START WRITING JOURNALS ON LYNCHING?

  • In 1884, she started writing her journals on lynching
  • She thought African American Discrimination was a terrible thing
