What makes you burp or fart? Answer: A burp is nothing but gas, when you eat or drink, you're taking air in as well, and when you swallow it, it needs to get out. Extra air is forced out of the stomach, through the esophagus, and then out of the mouth. You burp mostly after you drink pop because the fizz in the pop is CO2. Eating or drinking to fast causes indigestion, which can make you burp, it's not dangerous at all. When your a little baby it's better to burp because there's still extra gas in your stomach. It's normal to fart half a gallon a day because one way or another we need to get the extra air out of our body. Fart comes from bacteria inside our tract, while food is being turned into nutrients, a smelly gas is made inside of us. Four of the main gasses found inside of a fart are Fructose, Lactose, Raffisone, and Sorbitol, some other small ones are fiber and starches.
What makes you blink? Answer: Blinking protects our eyes from foreign objects, sweeps up dirt that get in our eyes, and applies a substance in our eyes by spreading tears across the surface. Tear glands in the corner of our eyes are always making tears, and when we blink our eyelids wipe them away. That keeps our eyes nice and clean. Blinking is controlled by a reflex, an automotive nerve action. We normally blink 4 to 6 seconds, but when there's smoke, we tend to breathe more. Adults blink 10-15 times a minute but a baby only 1-2 times.
