Utopia

  • takes in a good place (/no place)
  • an unrealistic, alternative society

  • no discrimination, human right, freedom
  • people are individual, own opinions, think loud, fantasie
  • nothing new; society goes back to an earlier way of life (nature)

  • likes being outside
  • likes to smell and taste things
  • not interested in the "normal" way of life
  • loves watching and analizing people

Dystopia

  • can be realistic
  • pessimistic vision of the future
  • critical against actual developement of society
  • often deals with: totalitarian states, censorship, surveillance, no human rights

  • people have no emotions, no own opinion, no individuality, commit suicide
  • addicted to media; dumbness
  • no dissenters allowed
