CUMULUS CLOUDS
Cumulus clouds are puffy clouds that sometimes look like pieces of floating cotton.
The altitude is about 1000 m.
They can develop into a giant cumulonimbus, which is a thunderstorm cloud.

STRATUS CLOUDS
Stratus clouds are uniform grayish clouds that often cover the entire sky.
Strattus clouds altitude is below 6,000 feet.
When heavier rain falls from them, their title is changed to nimbostratus clouds.

Cirrus clouds are thin, wispy clouds blown by high winds into long streamers.
Cirrus altitude is forming above 6000 m.
They generally mean fair to pleasant weather.

Fog is simply a cloud close to Earth’s surface.
Fogs altitude is visibility to 1000 meters or less.
Fog is caused by tiny water droplets suspended in the air.

CUMULONIMBUS clouds
Cumulonimbus clouds often mean that a thunder storm is brewing.
Cumulonimbus clouds exist from near ground to 50,000 feet up in the air.
Cumulonimbus clouds are associated with powerful thunderstorms. Snow, rain, hail, lightning, thunder, and sometimes tornadoes.
