DESCRIPTIONS

  • The bills and legs are either pink or yellow.
  • They have a large body with long legs and long necks.
  • The bill is bent in the middle.
  • The toes are fully, thickly webbed.
  • Flamingos have 3 toes that face forward and one that faces backwards.

HABITAT

  • They live in the alkine waters.
  • They live by shallow waters.
  • They live in saline waters.
  • They live in south america.
  • They live in africa.

ADAPTATIONS

  • They need 4 gallons of water each day.
  • Long slender necks help there body stay out of the water.
  • They have sharp tongues so when they eat they don't eat mud and get sick.
  • They have long necks so they can get food in hard to reach places.
  • Flamingos stand on one foot often to let the other one rest.
