HIGH TIDES

  • The moon and the earth both pull on each other . They stay in the same place do to gravity . The moons gravity pulls the earths water which makes one high tide the moon also pulls the earth which makes another high tide on the other side .

LOW TIDES

  • When the moon pulls the water and makes the water into an oval shape the width of the oval is .the low tide.

SPRING TIDES

  • Spring tides are formed when the sun and moon line up
  • The water level increases which makes the ocean look fuller.
  • This is how a spring tide looks from outer space->

NEAP tIDES

  • The sun and the moon line up to the earth so there perpendicular and there gravitational forces pull and that causes neap tide.
  • There are two neap tides a month. There are two neap tides because of the moons phase because each quarter moon a neap tide appears.
  • Neap tides are tides that are higher than low tides bit lower than low tides.
