First, take the body to the place of purification, or otherwise known as, 'ibu'. Then, embalmers wash the body with good smelling wines. Rinse the body with water from the Nile.

Cut the left side of the body and remove many internal organs. This is because they are the first to decompose. The heart is left out because it may be used in the afterlife.

The liver, stomach and lungs are washed and packed in natron which will help dry out. A long hook is used to smash skull through nose and take brains out.

Let the organs dry, and then put in a canonic jar. Each type of jar has a different type of organ.
