Not all poppy's are red. They also come in yellow, orange, and other colours.
Every year on the11th of November at 11 o'clock we observe1 minute of silence to remember the people who died in the war .

TRENCHES
The trenches were very dirty and smelled.
There was nowhere to wash yourself in the trenches.
The trenches were 25,000 miles long and were just above your head.

Women back at home had to take over the men's jobs because they were away fighting.
Women were not used to working they just had to stay home before and do the washing and cleaning.
