POPPY'S

  • Not all poppy's are red. They also come in yellow, orange, and other colours.
  • Every year on the11th of November at 11 o'clock we observe1 minute of silence to remember the people who died in the war .
  • Poppy's are a symbol of both sleep and death.

COUNTRIES IN WW1

  • There was 32 countries involved in World War One like Britain, France, Russia, Italy Germany, Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria.

TRENCHES

  • The trenches were very dirty and smelled.
  • There was nowhere to wash yourself in the trenches.
  • The trenches were 25,000 miles long and were just above your head.

WOMEN

  • Women back at home had to take over the men's jobs because they were away fighting.
  • Women were not used to working they just had to stay home before and do the washing and cleaning.
