THE INDUSTRISLIST OF FLOWER MILLING

  • Charles Pillsbury started the pillsbury flour company which is still here today. He was born in 1842 and died in 1899. He was married in 1866 and had 2 children.

JOBS IN A FLOWER MILL

  • There are many jobs in the flower mill but here are a few. People who sweeped the floors and nailed on tops were low wages and no skill and boring. Working on the machinery was hard good wages and exciting.

MACHINES IN A FLOUR MILL

  • There were a few machines for the flour mills but the most important was midlings purifier. It got rid of nasty brown flecks and make the bread live longer and taste better.

NATURAL RECOURCES IN A FLOUR MILL

  • The natural recources in a flour buisness are wheat, rich deep soil, Choo Choos and of course rivers. Withouth the rich deep soil they wouldnt have been able to produce anything and without the rivers and trains they coudlnt be able to move it or make it into flour.

INDUSTRIALIST OF LUMBER

  • The indusrialist of the lumber industry was Frederick Weyerhauser. He was born in 1834 and died April 4th 1914 if he were to be alive his networth would be 72BILLION DOLLARS he had seven children

JOBS OF THE LUMBER INDUSTRY

  • The jobs of the lumber industry were the lumberjacks. They would chop down the trees and load them on a boat or float em down river. decent pat.

NATURAL RECOURCED IN THE LUMBER INDUSTRY

  • The natural recources in the lumber industry were trees. They were used to build houses back then and they made alot of money to sell them. Rivers and trains were also natural recources they were used to move the lumber around and to power some of the machinery.

MACHINES

  • The machines in the lumber were the lumber mills and the steam boats and the trains. The lumber mills cut the wood into planks to build houses flower mills lumber mills and alot of other neccesities.the trains and boats broutgh the lumber to lumber mills then to different places in the country for it to be used as a way to build houses.

INDUSTRISLIST

  • The Merrit brothers were the industrialist of the iron industry. theyinvested alot into it but ended up not making much money in the end. They helped make the iron industry a big thing. Without them the iron industry wouldnt have been as big as it was.

JOBS

  • The jobs of the iron industry were the miners and the people who worked the machinery. The miners had very dangerous work snd little pay. The machine operators were ok and got decent oay.

NATURAL RECOURCES

  • The natural recources of the lumber industry were ironore,trains and rivers. The iron ore was made to steel which was then sold to a neighboring city county state or country. The trains and boats helped bring the iron ore to different places for trade.

MACHINES

  • The machines in the mining industry were the steam powered shovels boats and other things that got them down to find iron. The steam powered shovels let them dig down far and for the miners to mine areas easier. The steam boats and trains brouth the iron to disntant places to be made into steel and other machinery.
