LICHEN ALGAE AND LICHEN FUNGUS

  • They have a mutualism relationship.
  • Mutualism is a symbiotic relationship that denifits both organisms involved.
  • Both of the organisms are found between fungi in the rainforest.
  • They both get there own energy by making there own food.
  • They can not live with out the other so they have to have each other.

SHELF FUNGUS AND HICKORY TREE

  • They have a parasitism relationship.
  • Parasitism is a relationship between two diffrent organisms were the parasite harms the host.
  • Shelf fungus is mainly found on trees or fallen logs in damp woodlands.
  • Hickory trees are mainly found in north america.
  • Shelf fungus gets its energy by digesting living or dead organic matter.
  • Hickory trees make there own food.
  • When the tree is dead it gives the shelf fungus food.
  • Shelf funguf gives the tree considerable advantages
