HOW MILAN ITALY PLANS TO BE GREENER

WHAT IS HAPPENING

• Milan, Italy is very polluted
• So they came up with plans to plant 3,000,000 trees by 2030
• That is about 270,000 trees a year
• One example is the tree library
• Another example is tree apartments

WHY THIS IS NEWSWORTHY

• The United Nations needed to get involved
• The Paris agreement of 2015 was used
• The city is trying to lower their temperatures by 2 degrees Celsius

• Humans have been polluting the earth for years
• If we don’t change anything we might not be here
• You can plant new trees but you can’ t undo what has already been done

WHY I CARE

• I care because I don’t want the world to be too polluted and then climate change takes over and there is no more snow
