WHY IGCDP

Amplify Critical Connections!

1) Build core of high competence & commitment
Identify who these people are, empower them, coach them, reward them, connect them.

2) Encourage Supporters, offer training and coaching, pay attention.

3) "Just go along" invite, listen, ask them about perceived concerns.

4) Passive/Cynical: invite their thoughts and do not let their inertia or counter-dependence derail you and your team.

HOW TO DEFINE A GOOD IGCDP

Our reality
Critical mass theory has it's roots in the idea that you want to develop a solid base of support to offset resistance to change. However, some researchers are now questioning whether this "resistance" might be better characterized as "ambivalence." Quantum science challenges our old ideas of linear, one-way scientific theories by demonstrating the importance of complexity, chaos, and relationship in our systems.

BREAK

How about the Snacks?
It is important to use critical mass theory as a lens to describe our organizations and see where the energy is centered. Do we have an inverted system, in which those who are most passive and cynical outnumber those of highest competence and commitment? If so, our efforts will need to reflect that.

TRAINING

This core framework is an interpretation of critical mass theory. A key point is to focus on the support and development of those of Apostolic Faith. We sometimes focus on the outer rings, thinking we can pull them in. If we make the inner core our focus, we can demonstrate how attractive that is, and make sure we are providing ways for others to venture inward.

PRESENTATION

Imagine your project five years later.
Are their methods and avenues to reach and invite the gifts of all? In what ways can you, or have you, supported the discovery of shared passion in the parish?

FUNX REGUALATION

Vulnerability: a key stance that allows us as leaders to acknowledge that we don't have all the answers, but through faith in God and trust in one another, we can find the answers to some of our most vexing challenges.

NEW LEARNING PLATFORM

To access inner and deeper .
Formation is key here. Is your church grounded in prayer? In what ways can members incorporate their faith into their daily lives, and beyond Sunday morning worship?

BONDING

TO THOSE WITH HIGHEST COMMITMENT
It is easy to get derailed by the squeaky wheels, by putting out fires, by day-to-day issues that sidetrack us from our mission and our long-term vision. It is worth it for all those of high competence and commitment to dedicate time together to support and affirm one another, as well as to challenge and expand ideas, assumptions, and mental models.
