PLATEAUS/CENTRAL VALLEYS

  • Plateaus in Jamaica are made mostly out of limestone. These plateaus take up about 2/3 of Jamaica. There are many caves, caverns, and sink holes throughout Jamaica in large numbers.
  • Which makes it dangerous to live near these.

COASTAL PLAINS

  • These plains are on the border of Jamaica and are mostly beaches or tall grass. It would be hard to live here because of the sand and tall grass. Plus the ocean being so close is a big hazard too if you live there an their is a hurricane or tsunami it would be catastrophic to the people.
