WHAT HAPPENED?

  • The village of Gibblet was put on TV.
  • People started to move there because they had seen it on the news.
  • It became more popular as more people moved.

AND...

  • Eventually new houses were built for the commuters.
  • More people move for rural 2 urban for a better quality of living.
  • The houses became more expensive.

ALSO...

  • The commuters weren't in the village during the day so they used the services in the city.
  • They also used out of town superstores like Gibbsbury and Gibbsose because they had more choice and were cheaper.

THIS MEANT THAT...

  • The services in Gibblet weren't being used so they went out of business.
  • This means that the village changes for worse for the local people.
  • Now there are no local services and the local folk have been effected massively.

THE LOCAL PEOPLE

  • Most people ran some of the services and have now gone out of business because they are not being used.
  • The transportation is not available because it is too expensive to run.
  • The prices of the houses have gone up so some of the local people might have to move to a cheaper place.
