The use of the number 60 in our lives
We use the number 60 as a basis in our daily life. For example, there are 60 seconds in an minute, 60 minutes in hour and so on. Choosing the number 60 gives us a chance to avoid complicated notations.
A sundial is an instrument that tells us what time it is using the sun’s shadow. As the Sun moves across the sky, it casts a shadow on a sundial. The part that is covered by the shadow of the sun, represents what time it is.
