ELECTROCHEMISTRY

2.
WHAT IS ELECTROCHEMISTRY
Electrochemistry is the branch of chemistry that deals with the relations between electrical and chemical phenomena.
One real life example is batteries.
Another thing it is used for is to control corrosion.
3.
BASIC BATTERY SETUP
A battery is setup by using electrochemistry and different metal wire types to conduct the electricity

4.
HOW OXIDATION REDUCTION MAKES BATTERIES WORK
When the reactive components of that electrochemical cell come into contact with another one it results in the transfer of electrons.
There are different materials in each electrode and they want to react with one being oxidized and one being reduced.
5.
WHAT IS CORROSION
Corrosion is the destruction of certain metals.
It helps lead-acid batteries because it helps them charge and it brings life to the positive plates in the batteries.
In certain metals it is considered rusting and in others it actually dematerializes the metals.

6.
WHAT IS ELECTOLYSIS
Chemical decomposition produced by passing an electric current through a liquid or solution of ions.
You can use it to make details on metals
And you can also make aluminum by using electrolysis
