Biography

So Louisa May Alcott was born November 29 1832. She Grew up in New England during the civil war time period. Her family struggled emotionally and mainly financially. She was one of 4 sisters and found great refuge in this companionship. Her sisters were the thing keeping her going. Because if the families lack in the money area Louisa attended school irregularly.

Little Women

Her greatest work was Little women. This book went crazy at the time. It actually still sells greatly today and people loved it so much that they made plays and now today movies about it. This was a sensation. Alcott had made relatable creative characters which had never been done before. The book when it first came out actually sold out in 2 weeks. It didn’t win any awards at the time because they didn’t give awards for waiting during that time but the current movie one many awards.

Famous quote:

The famous quote I chose was “I could never love anyone as I love my sisters” (Joe Marge). This quote pretty much sums up the book. I chose this quote because it hits pretty close to home. I have one older sister and she means so much to me so I understand why having a good bond with her sisters was so important to her.

Authors significance

Louisa May Alcott is an important author because she created vivid relatable characters in the 19th century that was an unprecedented style. She created strong female characters who were educated and took the lead. Louisa May Alcott did not just impact readers and writers in her time, but she still inspires so many people to this day.

My Reaction

I think that this author is pretty cool. The fact that people are still making movies to this day means she made an impact on the world. She inspires so many people and so many other great writers. She emphasizes family like no other author can and I respect that so very much. I thinks she’s a pretty cool gal if you ask me.

What is the impact of siblings in trials of life?

I chose this question because like I said it hits close to home. I actually am one of 4 sibling like Louise and I don’t think I would be the person I am today without them. Of course I’ll get in fights with them every now and then but they mean the world to me and understand things that no one else would. I think that the biggest impact siblings make is knowing that you’re not alone. They have grown up with you and know you and honestly just understand better than a friend could. They share experiences that no one else does. Personally I think they just bring comfort. For me I grew up in the mission field and nobody else would understand that and how it affects my life today but knowing that my siblings get it almost perfectly brings a lot of comfort in the times if trials.

LOUISA MAY ALCOTT

LITTLE WOMEN
In conclusion siblings are a bond that nothing else compares to. Louisa went through some pretty hard times but that’s not really the main focus of her book it’s more about the good times she had with her sisters. She teaches a valuable lesson on how sisters or family will be there forever.
