PRESENTATION OUTLINE

An element is a substance that cannot be broken down into simpler terms.
Ex:

Compound: A thing that is composed of two or more separate elements.

Any mixture that is uniform in composition.

Heterogeneous mixture: Any mixture that is not uniform in comparison.

The difference between a mixture and a pure substance: The difference between these two is a mixture can be physically separated, but a pure substance is pure and can’t be separated at all. Physically or chemically.
