PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CELL ANALOGY

LANE'S BODY

This is Lane

A. CELL

THE CELL IS LIKE LANES BODY
Lane's body works like a giant cell

B. CELL MEMBRANE

ON LANE THE CELL MEMBRANE IS THE SKIN BECAUSE OF ITS PROTECTIVE LAYER
The skin is like a cell membrane because it is a protective layer on the outside.

C. CYTOPLASM

THE ANALOGY ON LANE IS THE WATER IN HIS BODY
The cytoplasm is compared to water because everything in Lane's body is in water and is moving around.

D. NUCLEUS

ON LANE IT IS HIS BRAIN
The brain is a good analogy because Lane's brain is his control center just like the nucleus in the center of the cell.

E. NUCLEAR MEMBRANE

THE SKULL
The skull is a good analogy because just like the cell membrane protects the nucleus the skull protects the brain

F. RIBOSOMES

HANDS ANS FEET
The ribosomes are the hands because they are the things that work and have the body function.

G. ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM

VEINS AND ARTERIES
He veins and arteries are a good analogy because they help the rest of the organs work and move things from place to place.

H. GOLGI BODIES

EARS ANS MOUTH
The Golgi bodies are the information center and send and receive information, just like the ears and mouth.

I. MITOCHONDRIA

STOMACH
The mitochondria is compared to the stomach because it is where you get energy from food.

J. LYSOSOMOES

THE LARGE ANS SMALL DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
Sense this is the place where things are broken down and you can get extra nutrition from this I would say that the lysosomes are comparable to the digestive system.
