"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
[MEANING]
It means that the people who are "poor in spirit," or humble, can be with God in Heaven.
[EXAMPLE]
When you get something unique, for example, a perfect score in a difficult quiz, don't boast about it. You're going to make people feel bad.

"Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
[MEANING]
It means that people who are suffering will be taken care of by The Lord.
[EXAMPLE]
When you are having lots of problems, pray to The Lord and your prayer will be answered.

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
[MEANING]
It means that the ones who are humble are going to be the "heirs of the earth," or in other words, leaders.
[EXAMPLE]
When you want to be a leader, be humble. Do not boast about your special abilities that others don't have.

"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."
[MEANING]
It means that the ones who are after what is right will get what they want.
[EXAMPLE]
Even with something as simple as quizzes can help you show this. When the teacher has incorrectly checked an item in your quiz, tell him/her that it is incorrectly checked.

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."
[MEANING]
It means that the ones who have mercy on the less fortunate will get mercy from them.
[EXAMPLE]
Simply giving a beggar his/her basic needs will be an example of this beatitude. You never know, he/she might be able to help you in the future...

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
[MEANING]
It means that the ones who do not sin and keep their hearts pure are the ones who will go to Heaven.
[EXAMPLE]
Obviously, everyone wants to go to Heaven. But reflect on yourself - do you deserve to go to Heaven?

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God."
[MEANING]
It means that if you bring peace into the world, God will call you His son.
[EXAMPLE]
The sacrament of priesthood - the sacrament where ordinary people become "married" to The Lord while preaching His Word. Think - if you were a priest, wouldn't you be sharing peace to the world through God's Word?

"Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
[MEANING]
It means that if you do what is right and you know that it is right but people believe it to be wrong, you will go to Heaven.
[EXAMPLE]
Lorenzo Ruiz. He was tortured and beat up by many anti-Christian people when he refused to stop believing in God. Did he stop believing?
