The setting is a small town in Rhode Island in present day.

The conflict of Where You Will Find Me is that Anna is trying to find herself as she deals with her friends ditching her and her family falling apart.

Major events

• Anna is abandoned by her best friend Dani during her 8th grade year
• Anna's Dad remarried a young women named Marnie and is starting a new family
• Anna's Mom attempted suicide
• Anna befriended Sarabeth and Shawna, two unlikely classmates who turn out to be her best friends
• Anna went on a trip with Marnie to Atlanta to visit her sorority
• Anna and her new best friends perform in the school talent show
• Anna finally feels at peace with all of the changes in her life.

The climax of the story is when Anna went to Atlanta with Marnie to visit her friends. Anna had fun adventures with Marnie and realized how much she loved and cared for her. Anna discovered that her life was more full than she knew and that she truly found herself on that trip.

The resolution is when Anna and her friends perform at the talent show. She finally had the realization that her life was full. Anna had caring new friends, a loving family who is healthy and supportive and she realized what happiness felt like.
