CARBOHYDRATES

  • They give us energy, because when they break apart they
  • become glucose and other sugars.
  • We need these to supply organs and tissues with the fuel they need
  • to preform other functions.

TYPES OF CARBOHYDRATES

  • Simple carbohydrates- known as sugar
  • Complex carbohydrates- are made up of many sugar
  • molecules that are linked together like a chain
  • Fiber and starch are forms of complex carbohydrates.

  • Granola
  • Pasta
  • Banana
  • Egg whites

  • Water does many things for us.
  • It helps carry nutrients to all cells in our body,
