HOW IS METAMORPHIC ROCK MADE
Metamorphic rock began as other kinds of rock. Igneous and sedimentary and other types of metamorphic rocks can change. Things that make rocks change are heat and pressure.

The Rock Cycle
Heat can change rocks and even the ground. Molten rocks heat up and come to the surface. Metamorphic is a name for changing rocks. Some rocks are heated to hundreds of degrees. Sometimes even thousands of degrees.

The Rock Cycle Continued

Rocks are recycled during the rock cycle. Metamorphic rocks can change into igneous or sedimentary rocks. Sandstone is made from very small sedimentary rocks put together. Other igneous rocks form when rocks are heated and cooled.

Heat and Pressure
Heat and pressure can change sedimentary and igneous rock into metamorphic rock. The rocks are far far down near the crust of the Earth. The rocks don't melt, but they get dense. When rocks get smushed together, they form in layers.

Conclusion

The main thing is that metamorphic once was lava. All in all,metamorphic rock is awesome. I hope you agree.
