EVERYDAY LEARNING OPPURTUNITIES

  • Children ages 4-6 learn from a variety of experiences.
  • For them to be most effective, parents need to share the experiences with their child.
  • There are several ways to help your child have learning experiences.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

  • These are very important in learning.
  • Trips in the car can allow children to read maps to locate where they are going.
  • Parents can ask their child what they are experiencing during trips which helps the child be attentive.
  • Walking outside can help children learn to observe mother nature and all aspects of it.
  • This stimulates their brain which is important to intellectual development.

HOUSEHOLD TASKS

  • Household tasks are one of the best ways to teach your child responsibility.
  • These chores can help children know how to function in everyday life once they reach adulthood.
  • Children will eventually develop a sense of independence and maturity that goes along with taking care of a home.
  • Doing these activities together can help develop an increasing bond within the parent-child relationship.

ASKING FOR ADVICE

  • Parents can uplift their child by asking for their own opinions.
  • This makes them feel valued within the confines of s family environment.
  • A child's self-esteem can progress a long way just from this alone.

EXPLAIN: WHY DO THINGS WORK?

  • Explaining the mysteries of everyday life to an inexperienced newborn can stimulate their brains.
  • Suggesting how to do something can set a standard for trust from a child to a parent.
  • Children have a tendency to follow what works first, so parents must benefit from this and show them the right way to do things.

CLOSING

  • Intellectual necessites are important, but we must know what they are.
  • Not everything is reading and writing, but the majority is experiencing every aspect of life.
  • This will make them the most successful.
